Labor Day Travel Check List

Labor Day Travel Check List

As Labor Day is one of the most traveled holiday, make sure your vehicle is ready for the road. Before you hit the road please keep in mind to check things like fluids, wipers, hoses, and belts. Make sure your vehicle has the correct amount of engine oil, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and power steering fluid. Your vehicle's battery should also be checked. Heat evaporates battery fluid which can speed up corrosion. The weather is also still warmer so be sure that the A/C is working up to the standards. Lastly, check tire pressure and all lights to make sure they are all working properly. If you have any questions about items stated above please give us a call and we will be happy to assist you

Back to School Drive

Back to School Drive

As the end of August is approaching us, kids are going to be on their way back to school. With that being said that means we have closed another successful school drive. This year we were able to raise a total of $738.06. Thank you to everyone who made a cash donation or a school supply donation. Without all your generosity we would not be able to do this for our community. With the donations we are able to help over 500 kids within Washington County. Thank you all again, we couldn't do it without you!

Unwanted Vibrations

Unwanted Vibrations

Are you driving down the road and feeling a vibration you have never noticed before? The vibration can be caused by a few things. It could be something as easy as your tire unbalanced and just needing to be rebalanced. If you hit something prior to the vibration starting it may mean the rim possibly bent or a suspension component may have been damaged. A driveline U-joint also could cause the vehicle to shake. A U-joint is a component that connects the driveshaft to the differential and sometimes will connect the driveshaft to the transmission. It may even connect two driveshafts to each other. Bob's Main Street Auto & Towing is here for all your vehicles needs. Give us a call and we will be happy to look at your vehicles to keep you and you passengers safe on the road

Don't forget about an alignment!

Alignments are a very important factor in keeping your suspension and tires in great condition. If there is failure to do so the vehicle's tires and suspension may not last the amount of time it is expected to. If the alignment is not correct it may cause uneven wear on your tires which will require you to purchase tires sooner than expected. It can also cause suspension components to fail and cause more damage to your vehicle. Call us today to have us look over your vehicle's alignment and we will be happy to discuss your options
