  When it comes to replacing the air filter on your BMW, it depends on a number of factors. It comes down to things such as driving conditions, environment, and the types of filter used. A dirty air filter can affect the run ability of the vehicle. Here are some signs that indicate a BMW has a dirty or faulty air filter.  Decreased Engine Performance- A clogged air filter reduces the clean air that flows into the engine.
