Going to an auto repair shop has always caused trepidation in anticipation of the outcome. I went in for a state required emission test. While there I questioned about service for oil and filter and three wheels to have new valve stems put in because of very slow leaks since it worked on one wheel already. I set an appointment and arrived early. They changed the oil and filter but also gave a safety/courtesy check and found a bad battery and connectors, moisture in my brake fluid(how they check that I don't know), cracks and frayed serpentine belt, (it was checked last month before I went to Oklahoma and it was fine), but because I have just turned 100000 miles additional service could be provided, such as fuel injector service and transmission oil change. My comments were that I can see doing the transmission oil change but not the flush since I had heard it wasn't a good idea. The service writer said their method was to take out and replace thru an in-out system. I questioned the brake fluid change and he said they drain and bleed all four wheels. I didn't think the fuel injectors was a big deal in that the methanol in the gas does clean them somewhat but I ok'd that too. Also at 100K miles spark plugs should be considered and I ok'd that but it's considered a tune-up. I was given a ride home and picked up again for return to the provider. There is always a trust issued to a service provider that they are going to treat you honestly and your car well for the cost of these services is not cheap. After I paid for the services ($1450) I went to the car and noticed greasy fingerprints on the door and handle. Since Covid I always carry wipes in the car, I used them on the steering wheel and came up with a very dirty wipe. I used another on the shifter and the outside finger prints. I returned to the office and gave the dirty wipes to my service provider. He came to the car before I left and apologized and gave me a card for a free oil change next time. When I got home I always inspect the service that was done as a habit. I opened the hood and found the battery shroud was just laying on top of the battery and not snapped into place. All trust in my provider just disappeared. What else did they forget to do, so I checked the console for proper air pressure, it's either a coincidence or they forgot to rotate the tires because the tire holding air was 38# was still in the left rear position and the other three were 37#'s. Battery ends and battery new, oil up to snuff so I hope everything else is as paid for and was needed.

This includes fine details like checking that parts - such as the battery cover - are snapped back into place. We understand that trust is a huge factor in our business relationships. Our service advisor had spoken directly with the technician after you made a concern. Since, we have not only spoken with all other technicians, but are continuing to stress the importance of it.
