I have dealt with Bob's Auto for over a year now. I originally had a 2002 Chevy impala that needed a lot of front end work done, they were going to allow me to put a GPS tracker in my car and pay them off due to them charging me $3,500 & I was unable to pay them that lump sum right away. Due to everything else that was wrong THEY suggested I just buy a newer car through them. Honestly, this was a blessing, at first. The first vehicle they gave me was a 2000 CRV, after 3 months and me being completely scared to death of this vehicle (it drove me off the highway multiple times, continuously had a smell or some type of leak, the locks wouldn't work, etc..) I balled my eyes out to the receptionist, they were generous enough to give me a 2009 Chevy Impala but WOULD NOT put the $900 I had already given them towards it. I agreed & swallowed the money. Within the first 2 weeks of having the Impala the entire lock system burnt out and needed a new wheel bearing in the right back tire. I did let them know that underneath the front end of the car I felt there was something wrong, always feeling like there was a bump in the road when there actually wasn't. They to this day, a year later, still tell me there is nothing wrong. Within this last year they have done quite a bit of work on my car, yes they covered it, but I had no warranty to begin with and they said they were going to from the start. I have had a clicking in my steering wheel for at least 7 or 8 months every time I turn the wheel and I was told by Michael, their manager, it was normal. I was told by Brian, a mechanic at the south shop, I should take my car elsewhere, so I did. In doing so I was told it is NOT normal for my wheel to do so & it could possibly be one of 2 problems that Bob's no longer would like to fix. They have been generous up to a point with what they have fixed, but some things have now been multiple times fixing so it is under warranty so no money is being lost from them, the mechanics must not know how to properly fix the issue. Despite the issues with my car I have been making payments, I signed a contract of $500 per month, I have given lump sums of $1,000 here & $700 there & so on and so on & then $400 here and there as well. Around December I asked for a print out of the money I paid because of the issues still wrong with the car, come to find out Lori, the owners wife and financial person for company, had LOST a $700 ELECTRONIC payment I had given them. I was told the credit would not be put towards my car unless I could find the receipt, I was also told in a very condescending way that if I was to find the receipt they would give me a $100 credit towards my account. I frantically found the receipt & upon giving it to Michael at the south shop, he called Lori and she admitted to splitting the payment, putting $500 towards the previous vehicle they had given me and $200 towards the impala but didn't calculate it in the previous math when I noticed the $700 wasn't there altogether. Again, in April of this year, just a couple weeks ago she proved to have lost another $400 payment that I have a receipt for, but she can't find it herself. How do I have a receipt for it then? I had contact with Michael around December & January, telling him times were tough and I couldn't make a payment & they said okay. I made a payment Feb and March for $400. At the beginning of April I changed my phone number, called and gave it to George, he failed to put it in their system, Lori called me 2 days later on my old phone, it was disconnected, so she shut off my car. I told her I was coming in on the following Monday & would have a payment for her then, she laughed at me, was very disrespectful, yelled at me, was all in all very unprofessional, I have kept nothing but contact with them but up until that day no one indicated to me there was a problem. I now found out they planned on repo-ing my car that Monday leaving me stranded in West Bend, I live in Milwaukee. My car still isn't fixed & I'm paying it off asap to be done with them for good.
