DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU NEED THE INTOXALOCK BREATHALYZER If I could leave zero stars I would. The customer service received for the installation of their intoxalock vehicle breathalyzer was absolutely terrible. Not only was it an all day affair, he could not wait in the lobby for his vehicle. Per WI law (I called the interlock company to confirm), you cannot see the device be put in your car. Brittney Hall told him that the law said he had to leave the premises. Thank god there is a strip mall across the street he could go to, but that is not the law. Get your facts straight. In addition, they did their complimentary inspection without his permission which is probably why it took close to 8 hours instead of 2-3 hours as advertised. Not only was she incorrect, to ice the cake, she told him that she's seen windshield washer fluid trigger the interlock...Um so who's gargling washer fluid these days? Lol. @Bob's, please hire knowledgeable people. This lady is an embarrassment to your company. Also FYI, if you have an aftermarket remote start, they charge you an extra $100-150. After all saod and done, almost $500 for everything. Intoxalock recommended that I leave a review here since the installation is out of their hands. Overall, please save yourself the headache and go elsewhere for the interlock device!!!
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, Sarah. We’re very sorry to hear how frustrated and disappointed you were, and we want to acknowledge your concerns respectfully and directly. Interlock installations are tightly regulated, and much of the process—including where a customer may wait during installation and what can be observed—is dictated by the interlock provider’s compliance requirements and state-level guidelines, not by personal preference or shop policy. Our team follows the procedures provided to us by Intoxalock and the State of Wisconsin to remain certified to perform these installations. That said, if there was confusion or miscommunication about why certain steps were required, we regret that it was not explained more clearly. Regarding the time involved: interlock installations can vary significantly depending on the vehicle, wiring complexity, and the presence of aftermarket equipment such as a remote start. Those factors often extend the installation time beyond the baseline estimate and do carry additional costs. Our complimentary inspection is a standard safety check we perform to protect both the customer and our technicians, especially when extensive electrical work is being done. It is not intended to add time unnecessarily. These inspections are no charge to you, the customer. We’re also sorry that the interaction with our staff felt dismissive or unprofessional to you. That is not the experience we aim to provide, and your feedback will be reviewed internally so we can improve how we communicate and support customers. Interlock situations are challenging by nature, and we understand emotions can run high. While we may not agree on every point raised, we do appreciate you sharing your perspective, and we regret that your experience did not meet expectations.
