My wife took our car in for an Emissions test, she was told the car failed because of a bad OBD 2 connector. I told her to take the car to our TRUSTED mechanic, the OBD 2 Port was not broken as stated. I then instructed her to go to another Testing station to have it retested and wow!! it PASSED, without ANY INTERVENTION from ANY mechanic. That makes me wonder if you (all inclusive) were trying to make my wife think there was something wrong with the automobile to make a "Quick" dollar. Bad business practice.
Thank you for your review. I would like to start by saying that the test did not fail the Emissions test when at our location. When connecting to a vehicles OBD to perform the test, our plug lights up green to show that it is properly connected and can perform the test. Unfortunately, when trying to plug into your wife’s vehicle our plug did not light up meaning we couldn’t perform the test properly. This is normally due to either a blown fuse or our system acting up. At this time, our advisor discussed with your wife that trying another testing station in the area would be beneficial as we were unable to perform the test. The only way that an emission test would fail would be due to a check engine light being on. I am sorry if your wife was confused with any of this, but hope you can understand that we never had a fail on record for your vehicle nor can purposely make a vehicle fail. All of our Emissions tests are on surveillance by the state and in compliance with all regulations.
