Last week I'd noticed something was wrong with my car. There was a sloshing going on in the dash somewhere. I thought nothing of it of course, as it wasn't causing any issues. I started having "Engine overheating" issues on Sunday, no heat coming from the vents. I figured there was something wrong with the thermostat/coolant. So I brought my car for a inspection to Bob's, because it was close by. I told them the issue with the vehicle(possibly heater core and thermostat) and they held the car for a day, didn't check it till the day after. I got a called today telling about what they came up with. They told me the radiator was leaking and the radiator hoses needed to be replaced. The price would have came out to be over $1000, which was way higher than I'd expected since I originally thought maybe $100-200 for a new thermostat. It was lowered down a little but but there was no way I was going to be paying that much for a radiator. So I paid for the inspection (which by the way was a little over $100, yikes) and brought the car home so my dad and boyfriend could take a look at it. They told me they don't think it's the radiator. I got the email from Bob's for the inspection and what do you know- listed under "Checked and Ok" is Radiator and radiator hoses. They also listed the heat under this section, uh, no it's not. Dad and boyfriend went to look at it and they told me that the coolant isn't hot, no leaks on radiator, and the heat isn't working. Screw this place in general, don't ever go here for a fix. Oh! Don't let me forget to add that my boyfriend had to get his car towed from Badger Middle School back to the apartment(approximately 3 minutes away) it took them 2.5 f***ing hours to get it here and they charged him $80+ to do so. So yeah, don't get a tow either. Money suckers.

Thank you for your feedback as we strive to do our best to improve our shop and customer service. We apologize for the confusion with the inspection reports. The report that was sent to you was from the general inspection report that is always performed when the car first comes in to our shop. This inspection is a general inspection that just overlooks filters, fluids, and the exterior aspects of the vehicle. The next part of the diagnostics that we did on your vehicle was the cooling system diagnostics where we performed the pressure test and is where we found the radiator to be leaking. Again, that original email was not updated with the photos from this and was in another section of the report that you may have not seen. For this reason, the photos were now emailed to you so you can view them. Rick has recently tried to reach out to you to clear the situation up and is offering you to bring the car back to our shop and show you the leak first hand at no charge. We would love to get your car here in the shop, do the pressure test, and show you the leak that we have found. Please give Rick a call at 262-335-2277 at your convenience in order to resolve this problem/confusion. Thank you.

I was quoted 850$ to change spark plugs, come to find out it wasn’t even necessary and they lied about what needed to be done to pass emissions. Crazy considering they are certified to preform emissions tests. All in all this place is dishonest and unprofessional, don’t let them waste your money.

Thank you for your review and feedback. After talking with our service writer we were able to get more information on the situation. We are sorry that you were not satisfied with your service. However, at your visit you were charged very fairly for the work that was performed. When visiting, we had only charged you a standard diagnostic charge when in fact we also fixed your check engine light, which was not illuminating properly. In order to do this, we had to remove the whole cluster in your vehicle to be able to fix this. A dishonest shop could have very well charged additional money as well as said that the cluster was bad and to remove and replace. In addition, we did clear the codes behind the check engine light after it was fixed, but this light will turn back on due to the pending misfire codes in your vehicle. When the check engine light comes back on, it will in fact not pass emissions. We understand how you feel about the situation, but we in no way were being dishonest to get money from you. Although you have saved money now just getting the diagnostic check with us, you will eventually need to get that tune up once the misfire occurs. That issue will not go away. In addition, emissions test need to be performed every other year so the problem will still have to be fixed in the future. We are certified to perform emissions test and have been nothing but honest during this whole process. We have tried to be in contact with you and remain professional; however, your unwillingness to discuss the diagnosis and future concerns with your vehicle makes it so we are unable to assist you further.

The lady that I called in regards to a towing question on Saturday night was rude. I inquired about how much to pull me out of the snow...she stated the price and I said ok, thank you and she hung up on me. Not the first time I had an issue with them and their rudeness...maybe they should change their office personnel

Thank you for your review! Without your feedback we are unable to improve our services. We are very sorry to hear about your poor experience with us this weekend. This weekend was definitely brutal with all the snow and our dispatcher was very swamped with calls due to it. We did get a chance to discuss the matter with her and in no way did she mean to come across as rude and she does apologize if it came off that way. Again, without hearing from our customers we are unable to improve these issues and hope that we can get this turned around so the next person has a better experience!
